Today the fourth graders found owl pellets and it was a VERY big deal.

My good friend and neighbor @terijanousek.bsky.social came by my house and fixed my car without even telling me. This year with cancer has royally sucked but the love of my friends has been an amazing gift.

Chemo day two. Retuximab. All is well. A lot of prednisone. I want to go back to work and be normal. Normal is gone. I watched My Dinner With Andre for the second time in 40 years. Brilliant, weird, boring, amazing.

I got my first day of chemo today. Rituximab. It was a rough day as I had a bad reaction but the nurses were great and my son was by my side. Tonight, tired and headachey.

I am one week away from my first chemo appointment. I got my port right before Thanksgiving.

I’m Jessica. I’m 59 and was recently diagnosed with Marginal Zone B Cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I get my port on Tuesday and start chemo in early December. I feel strong and ready. After a very bad breakup two years ago, I’m in a solid place. I teach fourth grade. #lymphoma #fourthgradeteacher
