Do you think this is necessary? There is plenty of positive content on the Internet, but people love to hate comment.

People have to be intentional in seeing viewpoints outside their own now, which many won't. The more interesting part to me is that people used to choose which biased media they wanted to consume. Now it is just fed to people through an algorithm without them considering the source.

I think about this a lot. Many of our algorithms already have so much inherent bias because of information put into them during development and through use. This is especially concerning when we think about how algorithms and AI are used to approve/deny life-saving decisions such as healthcare.

My kid lives in Siddall Hall and sent me these yesterday. First is what was put up by the school, second is the students’ alteration of the administrations’ cowardice.

There was already such wide spread of misinformation before this, I can only image it will get worse. I primarily am concerned for communities that will be attacked and have hateful messages spread about them.

I agree! It would also be interesting to see what types of podcasts people are listening to in each country (educational vs. entertainment).

Every day for the past two weeks I’ve read a headline that is so absurd it feels like it must be an Onion article. Every day it is real news.
