It would be totally Leafy for them to rumour Nic Roy for Marner and then have Marner walk for nothing, but it does sorta line up that the Scissons acquisition for Vegas sort of fills the void that Roy would leave if he was dealt.

The thought has crossed my mind that Matthews may want to move on if the Leafs lose both Marner and Tavares to UFA.. (like ask for a trade).. in the sense that I'm pretty sure he didn't sign up to lose both those guys and not replace them adequately.

Ok so if Shanny goes and Tre is his guy does he go? Does Berube go? This is why they should have axed everyone when Dubas left. But this will be a Frankenstein monster yet again where the President doesn't have 'his' GM in place and that'll be the next bullet used when this team shits the bed.
