And a couple spots on the Duwamish Trail also needed some de-leafing. I forgot to take a before pic, so a during pic will have to suffice.

I also made it up the Delridge connector a bit, but it needs some serious work. Clean enough for now.

Welp, the #Seattle storm this week re-leafed the Spokane Street bridge / Delridge Way SA / 22nd Ave SW connector bike paths, so I got out there again today and got it cleaned up again. Nice and fresh again, for now. ✨

Today I rode in heavy rain to deliver 20 bags of groceries from White Center Food Bank to 10 families in White Center, Burien, and Seattle for the @cascade.org #PedalingReliefProject – we use volunteers with bikes and trailers to deliver food to neighbors with mobility or accessibility challenges

I park my cargo bike in street parking spaces and parking lots all the time. No shame, no regret. Honestly just do it unapologetically.

Yep, can confirm.

Ugh the route summary is also wrong, it calculates the -7.9% from the incorrect -59 ft, the actual descent is -14.2% in this case.
November 5, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Honestly no earthly idea how Ride with GPS calculates elevation gain/loss. How you can go from 160 ft to 54 ft and only have an elevation change of -58 ft? The math isn't mathing and it's really messing with my ability to evaluate route flatness.

This is a little on the nose considering @mayorofseattle.bsky.social recent anti @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social ad content isn’t it?

Usually like this:
• leaf blow both sides, make a central pile
• string trim edges and back ~2 ft
• leaf blow cuttings and leaves into the pile
• scoop shovel the pile, tossing everything far from the path
• leaf blow clean ✨

Still literal tons to move.

Here’s a few in progress shots:

I also spent a bit of time finishing digging out the gutter on the 22nd Ave SW connector. I started this last year. Hopefully it helps with heavy rains! Don’t think this concrete has seen daylight in a decade.

Heyo, West Seattle cyclists! I cleaned up the leaves on the Spokane Street bridge / Delridge Way SW / 22nd Ave SW connector again. It was quite leafy. I also trimmed back a lot of the edges. Could use more trimming but looking good!

Ballots are in! #VoteByBike in #Seattle! Let’s goooooo @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social!

Heading home yesterday I came across these fools just before the Spokane Street swing bridge. Just a couple Seattle drivers doing what Seattle drivers do: crashing. I yelled my compliments for their driving skills.

We ended up with tons of diapers and feminine hygiene products as well, which is AWESOME. 👏
November 1, 2025 at 10:51 PM
So much food! We had to take several loads away during the day.
November 1, 2025 at 10:47 PM
Thanks again for stopping by! Was great to meet you again and chat about food insecurity!

Out here in Cal Anderson Park ready to take food donations for the SNAP to Action Food Drive! It sure is raining so come on out and make it worthwhile!

Critical Mass Seattle, October 2025 🎃 ✅
November 1, 2025 at 5:33 AM
We massed through SODO and Georgetown, and I split off back toward West Seattle as we passed the West Seattle Bridge heading north.
November 1, 2025 at 5:32 AM
The culprit.
November 1, 2025 at 3:15 AM
Mechanical!!! Critical Mass Seattle is a no-drop ride so we try to help everyone out and get them rolling again. Flat tires are a Seattle classic.
November 1, 2025 at 2:51 AM
It wouldn’t be Critical Mass Seattle without a parking garage visit
November 1, 2025 at 2:49 AM
Critical massing the market!
