Zenith moves their bomb trains through our city and uses us only as a terminal for their global operations. We carry all of the risk and get none of the economic benefits. Zenith is not a good neighbor and they don’t belong in Portland.

DEQ granting this permit is a step in the wrong direction.
🛢️ Zenith Energy update 🧵 🛢️

Last week, Oregon DEQ approved Zenith's air permit. DEQ officials argued publicly that the permit represents an improvement in air quality because of supposed concessions.

Instead, adding risk to an already highly risky situation is a betrayal of the public interest.

An ICE agent in a Tan Cadillac DeVille was seen leaving the ICE Facility at the South Waterfront earlier today. Be aware of this vehicle and person. Let’s get these domestic terrorists out of our city.

VICTORY! Portland City Council just voted unanimously (12-0) to overturn a permit approval for PGE to destroy 4.7 acres of very old trees, streams, and wetlands in Forest Park.

We thank City Council deeply for your careful consideration of this land use appeal. Thank you 🌲💚🌲

Councilors Koyama-Lane, Morillo, & Green voted the Zenith accountability resolution on to the full council (hopefully for consideration on March 19)!
Every other level of government is completely captured by corporate interests, but our new city council is still operating under the premise that your government can & should address the issues the community cares about.
This morning the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will hear the Zenith accountability resolution that I introduced with @councilormorillo.bsky.social, @councilordunphy.bsky.social and @councilortiffany.bsky.social last month.

Today we take our first steps in restoring the public trust.

FOREST PARK IS UNDER ATTACK

Portland General Electric was approved to cut almost 5 acres of Forest Park with 15 more at risk for future projects.

If you want to get more involved in the growing community resisting this project direct message me.
