Spent ages debugging a stuck NVENC thread and malloc errors. All came back to a missing virtual destructor, AKA resources not being freed. So textbook [1] basically. You might want to use Rust...

GPU particles now with obstacles (code here github.com/JerboaBurrow...).

It is exactly 9,999,873 particles simulated using fragment shader #gpgpu in #opengl. Gets 60fps on gtx1080ti
