Pro disabled people. All sources for Covid linked: https://www.google.com/collections/s/list/2X0tIsypRkiomFYI2f9yNw/gHkstDTXo6U
My threads account was permanently disabled after I called out a r*cist.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

And no, I’m not a bot.

Very niche post, but…

I rly need privileged yt Covid cautious ppl to check themselves.

Not everyone can afford at-home molecular level testing.

Not everyone has a job where they can work fully remote.

Deep breaths.

You’re pro-life, but you support the guy who halted cancer research.

You’re pro-Constitution, but you support the ending of birthright citizenship.

You’re pro-free speech, but you support the kidnapping and imprisonment of people for speaking up against genocide.

Make it make sense.

This is the worst “I told you so” ever.
Since the start of COVID, the number of people reporting a disability soared. Yet the majority of the world acts like COVID is over, and Long COVID doesn't exist.

From a disabled person who’s survived one pandemic (that’s still ongoing btw)…

I can tell you that bird flu will become a serious problem under the current leadership in the US.

“Don’t let the overwhelm get to you, it’s a tactic” is a nice sentiment when your livelihood and ability to survive in this country aren’t at stake.

Heyyyy lefties, wanna know a great way to fight back, be pro-science, show community care, and #resist?

Wear an N95 mask during an active pandemic. 😷

David Lynch was shut out from society since 2020 because everyone basically decided his life wasn’t worth protecting.

He had emphysema and still took Covid seriously, like the millions of us with high-risk conditions who have become ostracized just for trying to survive.

I went to the gym yesterday in an N95 mask 😷 and someone on the treadmill was coughing severely every 5 seconds, no joke.

Not only is it a dick move to work out sick, but it’s just plain bad for your health.

I’m sorry…

there’s #birdflu, norovirus, RSV, and Covid right now and I’m the weirdo for masking and taking precautions while some of y’all are hacking up a lung? K.

(PS - I haven’t caught anything… because I wear N95s😷🙃)

There’s no “Make A Wish” for disabled or chronically ill adults, but I think we’d settle for decent healthcare that doesn’t put us into poverty.

PSA:

It’s not normal to get sick multiple times a year, every year.

Hot take that shouldn’t be a hot take:

If you’re actively sick in public and not wearing a mask 😷 (& u are able to/have access to one), you’re not a good person.

You can’t tell just by looking at someone if they’re disabled or not.

DO NOT give your money to Jeff Bezos. He has plenty. Make a list of the books you want to buy as gifts and buy or order from a local bookstore...if you want those stores to continue to exist.

I think able-bodied people have the privileged viewpoint that if something bad happened to them, the system would take care of them. That there would be doctors and medicines available at their beck and call.

Why does *me* wearing a mask 😷 (an immunocompromised person trying to protect myself) bother *you* so much?
November 23, 2024 at 5:09 PM
Dems/libs/leftists, now that our already f’d up healthcare system is going to be threatened even MORE under Trump, will you start masking again? 😷

Covid is still here, never left. Vaccines help but don’t fully prevent transmission. Disabled people still need to work, get healthcare, use transit.
