People think they can’t live without cheese but that’s just because there’s literally cheese in everything. Removing cheese from every 3rd restaurant menu item would probably have a huge environmental payoff. I used to love cheese, but I don’t mourn it.

I hate that he presents himself as just a little bean while he’s doing fully monstruos stuff! When I emailed his office his staff sent back the most “well actually” response without actually engaging with the substance of my concern. It’s really shameful!

Oh I’m realizing the amendment is the change 😬 now I feel very dumb

I wrote in support but I’m seeing a lot of “support with changes” - what are the changes?

“Eds and meds” saved a lot of places coming out of the Great Recession. Rust belt cities like Pittsburgh have completely transformed their economies by leaning into this trend. A funding crisis in health care will be a disaster.

The healthcare industry also provides the highest wage jobs in a lot of these cities. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made charts of wages of common jobs in top industries. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists are always at the top.

In WA, a lot of cities are facing a fiscal crisis because of artificial revenue caps. Combine that with the collapse of the healthcare industry - what do you think is going to happen?

You turn the duvet cover inside out, safety pin the bottom corners of the duvet to the cover, and then turn the cover right side in over the duvet. That way the pins are inside as well.

I don’t use a duvet anymore but when I was young my mom taught me to safety pin the bottom corners of the cover to the duvet. It always worked really well!
