Australia Day has evolved from a fair and reasonable debate about whether it’s respectful to celebrate the invasion of Australia by white colonisers (it’s not) to a nasty, spiteful, hate-filled right wing culture war, led by the Liberal-National-News Corp fear machine. It’s gross.
