The Waffle House is so much more than a chain of diners in the South. It’s an ad hoc social support system and a beloved institution. That labor organizing has come to Waffle House feels like real social change to me. Remarkable.

I got married 27 yrs ago today. Because we are practical, went out for an anniversary lunch at a local Italian restaurant. He drives me crazy, but I love this man.
