"It is small, and it is fragile, and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us."
Who's going to stop them? Certainly not Stormont or the PSNI. But for the fact she did this outside City Hall it would have gone unnoticed. This language, behaviour and incitement locally has been standard, broadcasted on an almost daily basis, with little to no action to address it.

And, when Labour are unable to make the dent in numbers that will placate the baying mob, they'll blame the ECHR for hamstringing them, thus paving the road for our exit from it. Which is what Farage and his merry band of fascists want, and Labour are prepared to hand it to them.

Near impossible to get a loan/mortgage, start a business or buy a home. And, instead of being allowed to work they are now being forced to “volunteer”, do jobs that should already be paid, but now the government can blackmail people into doing the jobs for free to improve their migration status.

So, it’s even harder now for asylum seekers to integrate as they are forced into unending temporary status limbo, never knowing when it will be decided their country is safe to return to and they'll be deported. If they have UK born children, they face being ripped away from them as in the USA.

This new "solution" is deliberately designed to manufacture consent for the cruelty. Ignoring the overt racism, two of the main complaints from “concerned citizens” is that migrants (asylum seekers) don’t integrate and that they take “local” jobs or are being “imported” to do the jobs locals won’t.

Remember the Windrush scandal, hoping that people who had spent their whole life here would "voluntarily deport" themselves? That's what's really being talked about here, deportation on a more cruel and more industrial scale.

And now, rather than restoring hope, they are instead pursuing the replication of ICE style "enforcement units", which will come in handy in the next decades for forcibly removing people when this government or the next decides they have overstayed their welcome.

It's pretty clear now that Labour made a load of manifesto promises they knew they couldn't be bound by. I believe that's called lying but I'm not sure of the legal term.
