Just Confirming: Gilbert the rescue dog was shot during the murder of Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman. His wounds were so severe that he was euthanized. A sad, sad story all around.

State Rep. Melissa Hortman raised and trained her dog Gilbert. He died in Saturday's attack at her home.

It's worth noting where Gilbert came from too- Melissa helped foster service dogs in training for disabled veterans. Gilbert was their personal dog (adopted after he washed from the program) but she was continuing to assist with other SDIT.

That speaks to what this MAGA 💩 took from the community.
