🔥 “Stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures.”
Last week, Boston received a letter from AG Bondi threatening to prosecute officials and withhold funds unless we cooperate with carrying out mass deportations.

The US Attorney General asked for a response by today, so here it is: stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures.

"...[California is] the fourth largest economy in the world. It's not despite of, it's **because of** the contributions of immigrants..." ❤️💪
Listen to this great American. This nation is privileged to have a man of this character in the United States Senate. Thank you @padilla.senate.gov. We stand with you.

If Trump doesn't reverse course, millions could lose healthcare, food assistance, childcare, and even emergency services.

We've heard reports of Medicaid portals being shut down and childcare funds being frozen. Trump is steering the US into a disaster of his own making.

Sharing this spreadsheet again of Black families in Altadena who need our help; Altadena is a historically Black community and there are real fears that this is what permanently displaces people who have lived in the area for 30 or 40 years. docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Absolutely shameless continuation of vote theft and gerrymandering by North Carolina’s GOP
Five alarm fire in North Carolina, where right-wing GOP majority on State Supreme Court just blocked certification of Democratic Justice Allison Riggs’ victory & appears to be laying groundwork to overturn the election www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Reminder—If the U.S. had had a single-payer universal health care system in 2020, nearly 212,000 American lives would have been saved that year. In addition, the country would have saved $105 billion in COVID-19 hospitalization expenses alone.

🗺️👀
Bluesky wrapped: a 🧵 of my posts that generated the most conversation on this site.

Below is a clever visualization of the distribution of how land is used in the U.S. Cows roam over a lot of land!

But this is not a map - for example, the 100 largest landowning families aren't confined to Florida.

🎤 Is this thing on? I'm a documentary filmmaker, most recently with a film about how to fix our country's child care crisis. Happy to be seeking refuge in an app that doesn't demote political content. Since everything is [gestures broadly] political.
