Two different bikes seen in Montpellier today.
A penny-farthing bike from 1885. The bike is painted silver and has the really large front wheel and tiny back one. A 21st-century frontload cargo bike. The white cargo box is covered with French text that translates to "plumber by bike."

Monday awesomeness: Biking to the DMV, checking in 15 minutes before my appointment, being seen immediately, and finishing 5 minutes before my scheduled time.

I saw a crocosmia in bloom on my walk today.

October in Virginia is my favorite time of year.

Alternatives for disability metaphors: I was blind to that fact I was unaware = of that fact. Tone-deaf inappropriate, insulting, = poorly-timed. Lame = Awkward, uncool. Insane / Crazy = wild, outrageous, chaotic. Crippling = Devastating, catastrophic, incapacitating.
