Geeze @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social, just show some spine! More respect for trying and failing than for not trying at all!
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

Jeffries says not to expect Democrats to pursue Hegseth impeachment over boat strikes
"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor," he said.

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

Donald Trump is now officially demolishing part of the White House to make room for his $200 million golden ballroom.

This comes as Americans can’t afford groceries and the government is still shut down.

Would be great to see today statements denouncing the invasion of Portland by:
- All Dem govs
- All Dems AGs
- Senate and House Dems
We have to denounce, attack, challenge immediately and defend the American people from this dangerous man.
Dems need to denounce and fight this Portland insanity very, very hard. Our unacceptable hesitancy when Trump invaded DC encouraged further escalation. We should be demanding Congress return to deal with this "emergency" - briefings, hearings, debate. We have to fight.

Time for @durbin.senate.gov, @duckworth.senate.gov, and @quigley.house.gov to get back to DC and do their jobs.
The US Administration is now deleting its internal communications, in brazen violation of the Federal Records Act, in order to conceal its other illegal acts.

Those entrusted to enforce our Congress’s laws sit, simply watching this happen, flaccid and impotent.

“Raises concerns”…is senator Collins writing headlines these days?
Trump, 79, forgets who is with him on Pittsburgh trip as rambling talk includes unlikely Unabomber story

"The speech raised concerns about Trump's age and capacity, as he is the oldest person to ever be sworn in as president."

My senator continues to bring the heat!
TAPPER: Republicans are debating a $15m fund for rural hospitals to offset some of the concerns about what the bill does do Medicaid

Once again I am calling for Democrats to introduce legislation requiring standardized uniforms, visible badge numbers with names, as well as a requirement for ICE and DHS agents to present proof that there is enough danger present to be masked to a judge when they get their warrant.
It really needs to be pointed out. As someone who has been to actions up to and inculdiong the uprising here in 2020 I have never seen every officer wearing fake name badges all with the name “the others” instead of their actual names.

Indiana's governor fired all the elected members of Indiana University's Board of Trustees. Given a recent policy change, he'll be able to fill those seats with appointees. Which means he'll basically have unilateral control over IU decisions, including who gets hired, tenured, and fired.

I simple do not understand why anyone believes anything this man says.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said President Trump would be breaking a promise if he went through with pardoning the two men who were convicted of plotting to kidnap her, claiming that he pledged not to do so during a conversation last month.
Michigan Gov. Whitmer says Trump promised not to pardon kidnapping plotters
On Wednesday, Trump told reporters that he would “take a look at” pardoning the men, saying the trial looked “like somewhat of a railroad job.”

Trump is like suspend habeas corpus, unleash a lawless gestapo on innocent people and public officials, steal, help our enemies, weaken our friends, destroy our economy. And a bunch of Vichy Dems are like “let’s compromise” “let’s be more like them.” No. Enough.

Given the current administration, there’s no “obviously” about anything.
Alina Habba tells Fox News that Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested and is being held in a secret location right now.

Martha MacCallum: "Where is he being held?"

Habba: 'I'm not going to speak to that right now. He's obviously in New Jersey."

Wow @democrats.senate.gov who coulda guessed Rubio would get drunk on trump’s kool-aid? Me, I knew. Why didn’t you?
Like Lindsey Graham before him, Marco Rubio is currently defining what it means to abandon absolutely every principle one used to hold dear. Today he shrugged at the idea that we might need to “move on” from supporting Ukraine. But here’s how he used to sound:
