On this Christmas Day, I think of this poem written by a 13-year-old child with the help of The Magic Words. If we can keep listening to people, especially children, keep helping people speak up, sing out, we just might have a real chance at change. 🕯️

This is a very handy cut-out-and-keep guide to #duvetknowitschristmas and its multi-faceted nature, which I would have thought of myself if I'd been a better human being
I have made a #DuvetKnowItsChristmas bingo card! And done alt text on it (as everyone else should, if they're able).

When we’re young or middle-aged so much is about DOING as we age we need to learn more about BEING without so much of the doing. This week’s column: www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...
I’m nearly 80 and there’s a void in my life that hobbies can’t fill
It’s about facing the freedom you have now, not as an overwhelming burden but as an opportunity

In the week that MPs vote on assisted dying, please - please - can we all agree & act on the fact that the time to end the woeful underfunding of NHS palliative care is now?

If we truly cared about dying people, we wouldn’t neglect their final days.

It has been 1,164 days since the Taliban barred Afghan girls from attending school, robbing 1.4 million girls of their right to education. This is not only a tragedy but a global failure. #LetHerLearn

Today in 1859 Charles Darwin's 'On the Origin of Species' was published.
He wrote it in this chair, in this room in Down House in Kent.
It’s possibly the most influential book published in the last 200 years.

There's nothing quite like a good visualisation. This one beats a line on a chart.
Last year's 0.75 cm rise was the largest year over year increase in global mean sea level during NASA's 31 year record of satellite based measurements. Viz by AJ Christensen.

I learned some stuff about Bluesky I did not know by reading this.

Maybe worth passing it on to others so we can all start getting the full benefit of the 🦋.
