When I first looked into getting a cane for my hEDS around age 31 I felt the twinge of shame that comes from living in an ableist society. That feeling pissed me off 😡 So, I did the only logical thing. I got a bright pink one so it would have no choice but to be entirely visible. NO more shame! :3

With the stigma around disabilities, it can feel rather embarrassing to need a mobility aid. I decided to get over that embarrassment by getting a bright pink cane. It helps with balance and takes a little weight off my joints too! 🥹 I wish I had bought this thing years ago 😭💜 #hEDS #EDS #disability
