Wow. While we wait for the few remaining ballots to be counted, we feel like we have won this race. The recent drop put us nearly 1,400 votes ahead, just under the .5 percent threshold for a mandatory recount.

Folks *should be* spitting mad about a few Senate Dems capitulating as health insurance premiums skyrocket for 25M people.

But where’s that same energy when it comes to guaranteeing healthcare without premiums at all for 350M people through Medicare for All?

Caught up with my friend @abdulelsayed.bsky.social, who will be the next Senator from Michigan. He and I will work together to pass Medicare-for-all, tuition free public college/trade school, a Mission for America to rebuild high wage manufacturing, and an end to the genocide in Gaza.

Nurses at University Medical Center New Orleans work tirelessly in dangerous conditions to provide the best care to their patients. They voted to form a union over 620 days ago & are still fighting for their first contract.

Unacceptable. UMCNO must deliver a fair contract now.

To make housing affordable, look at cities around the world that have done it. Almost all of them:

1. Make it easy to build
2. Prevent ultra-rich and corps from buying housing for speculation
3. Build tons of public housing/have public financing
4. Have strong rent control

This labor day, San Francisco showed UP! Let’s turn this into a movement to kick Trump out and get Medicare-for-all, affordable housing for all, and a wealth tax on the ultra-rich to build a society all of us can afford to live in. That’s how we make sure no authoritarian ever comes back into power.
