It's finally #FindsFriday!!

Here's a cute little terracotta vase in the shape of a duck to celebrate.🦆🏺

This duck dates to the 6th century BCE and is of East Greek origin. It can be seen on display at The Met.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this thought, but any service that shows you personalized recommendations via algorithm should also have an option for you to see what it thinks you would hate.

Show me my Spotify anti-playlist. Give me my YouTube recommend-againsts. I'm curious.

I heard that there's a 9-volt battery flavored chip exclusive to the Netherlands and I so desperately wish someone would tell me what it's like. Please 🙏🏻

I discovered a new video game last week and started slacking a bit on my chores. Unfortunately, not doing your chores makes you have to do worse chores later. And they take longer, so you don't have time to play your fun new video game.

Who could have foreseen this?

I spent so many years moving around that I've lost track of a lot of things. Today's question: Do I have a dermatologist in this state? Nobody knows, least of all me!

One of the best lessons I've learned on the Internet is that comment sections exist for entertainment and not for any constructive purpose.

If I see an easily misunderstood post with hundreds of comments, I'm 100% rubbing my hands together with glee and diving in to enjoy the show.

One of my coworkers asked in our accessibility and neurodiversity channel if we could share coping mechanisms we use when anxiety and depression is at an 8, then deleted the message while I was trying to reply.

I totally understand why. It's scary to know anyone could see that vulnerability. (1/?)

Tragedies are tragedies, and there is no such thing as karma in a natural disaster. If you'd like to find ways to support the people impacted by the floods, this is a great place to look.
GoFundMe has set up a page for the Texan flood victims. Each campaign has been verified by the company's Trust & Safety experts, which means you know your money is going directly to families. Please consider donating if you can. Their stories are heartbreaking.

I can write the most complicated queries without issue when I'm pulling data normally, but the moment someone looks at my screen I'm always googling something stupid like "SQL date format"

Asked my neighbor if he wanted one of my spare tomato plants and he went on a mission to find a good home for my wayward tomato.

I don't deserve such a good and wholesome neighbor 🥺

Huge shout out to my neighbor, who planted dozens of pink strawberries next to our shared fence. I'm enjoying the bounty and will be transplanting the new runners on our side of the fence everywhere I can! 🍓🍓🍓

I recommend anyone who doesn't understand why "made on shared equipment" is an immediate disqualifier for people with Celiac or food allergies to pull up an episode of "How It's Made" and try to figure out how to clean every part of those machines.

My grandmother told me yesterday how sad she was that she had to cancel her plans on Saturday "because Jan couldn't go and it isn't the sort of thing you go to alone."

Y'all, she was talking about the PROTESTS. Born in the 30s and still (safely) kicking ass. I have the coolest grandmother ever.

People sometimes ask why I think cat owners who let their cats roam outside are bad pet owners. This is just one of many reasons.
From the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. Apart from the overwhelmingly largest cause of population declines - habitat loss and destruction - what are the other big killers of birds? A reason to consider keeping cats inside.🪶🌎

It's wild to me that it's a crime to not report for jury duty, but they don't even pay you minimum wage for the work you have to miss. That's so messed up.

I'm not optimistic that there'll be a cure for celiac disease in my lifetime, but you know what I think could be possible? Something that reduces the reaction threshold to a point where cross contamination isn't a threat. I'd be thrilled if I could eat a meal cooked in a shared kitchen!
