Just my occasional stream of consciousness tapped out in glee or frustration.
No hawkers please! 😃

Performative cruelty to assuage the hard right. Who’ll never be satisfied until prison hulks and transportation is introduced.
November 18, 2025 at 10:55 AM
I’ll bet many are in a moral dilemma? Either hold your nose and vote/abstain or vote against and face the consequences of perhaps losing your seat to Reform at the next election. Or maybe erode the “worst” parts of any bill as it winds it way through parliament?

It’s what we have expected all along. The further rightward the govt goes on immigration, the further hard right Farage and his acolytes will go. The monster will not be sated until every immigrant is in chains on prison hulks in the Medway or somewhere else further away. A zero sum facist game.

But Fagash would love it. It’d be the culmination of his life’s work, and please his “boss” Putin no end.

Brain worm says what??
November 17, 2025 at 10:01 PM
And that’s the fissure in these proposals, they’ll apply to everyone. I can see the govt facing many hurdles and rebellions as this makes its way through parliament, though doubt rebellious Labour MPs and LibDems will be enough to stifle any bill but may force govt to negotiate some parts.

When the Epstein Files are eventually released, and assuming all the rumours are true, how’s the duplicitous Torygraph, Fail and all the other media facilitators going to row back on their Trumpism?
November 16, 2025 at 5:21 PM
So.. what’s a solution now?
November 16, 2025 at 4:47 PM
So whatever next for the strutting fascists? Because this won’t be enough, nothing the govt do will ever be enough. Next will be mass deportations I’m guessing. The British public really need to take a long hard look at themselves if they support these types of policies.

Must be difficult for her to come to terms with the fact she’s irrelevant. But it’s beyond the pale for swivel-eyed loons like her to encourage foreign governments against our own country.
November 15, 2025 at 7:48 PM
Can no one in govt or another senior politician articulate that immigration is a necessity for this country to thrive in future years? Falling birth rate and ageing population (as in most developed countries) means we need immigrants to take up the slack, so to speak. So far, answer is no it seems.
November 15, 2025 at 7:39 PM
I think this is another matter that calls into question Starmer’s leadership qualities (or lack of). I’ve no doubt personally he wants steady govt and have proven policy successes to show the public by the next GE but, for god’s sake he has to SHOW leadership and take the fight to Reform!
November 15, 2025 at 10:36 AM
Progressive politicians need to start setting the narrative of the above and not simply keep refuting the hard right’s destructive and divisive rhetoric. If we continue to play Farage’s game we’ll become stuck in his negative world and we’ll never progress. I don’t see many politicians capable tho 🤷‍♂️
November 15, 2025 at 9:23 AM
In short yes. But more than anything I want the narrative wrested from Farage and the rest of the far right so they scuttle back under that rock they crept out of.
November 14, 2025 at 7:41 PM
And how strange all the Brexit backing business leaders have all either pissed off (or about to) abroad complaining that our economy’s in the bin. And any apologies or contrition about the Brexit disaster? Nah, too much to ask 😠
November 14, 2025 at 6:59 PM
The man’s a snake. Thankfully other party leaders have hooked him directly to the failure that is Brexit and if they keep up this narrative maybe the scales will fall from many voters eyes about what a duplicitous failure he really is.
November 14, 2025 at 6:23 PM
I look forward to the day when he has to defend his Clacton seat 😠
November 14, 2025 at 7:59 AM
I’d be interested to know the recent levels of the Torygraph’s weekly sales compared to previous years? I’d imagine they’re falling like a stone and in their existential effort to retain their hardcore readership have, like the Tories, lurched further rightward. Sad..If I gave a toss.
November 14, 2025 at 7:16 AM
Do you know how many editions have the LibDems featured?
November 14, 2025 at 7:12 AM
So what’s taking them so long? Abandon X now!!

👋 👋 hello… 👋 👋.. I’m still here! 👋 👋 👋

Sad..

Her face at the cenotaph on Sunday, bitter and resentful..

Have we learned absolutely NOTHING from Brexit? Is it really SO hard for people to make the connection between right wing populism and failure? Jeezus!
