Braves naming Walt Weiss as Brian Snitker’s replacement. Smart baseball guy and good dude. A little surprised GM Alex Anthopoulos didn’t go outside the organization but I have no problem with this hire.

In least surprising development of all, Brian Snitker won't be back as Braves' manager. He'll transition to advisory role. Snit was ready for this. Was a little surprised he didn't retire after 2024 but he wanted one more shot. What happened in 2025 wasn't his fault. He should be praised for tenure.

This would be unfortunate for Bobby Petrino, who would have to go back to tearing wings off of butterflies.

It’s been tough sitting on this news for several weeks. I worked at @ajc.com for 29 years. Unfortunately, company and product have spiraled dramatically. It’s unreadable. Clueless leadership. They didn’t appreciate what they had in Justin, who has amazing future ahead of him. Cheers to you, buddy.

There are only 5 teams in the majors with a worse record than the Braves, and one of them (Nationals) just fired their GM and manager.
