This racist Fallout-esque garbage is so beyond parody, that I first wondered if it was crafted specifically to enrage libs on Bluesky. But it turns out they posted exactly the same thing on X (presumably unironically).

Ewan woke up on fire after an extra hour’s sleep! In addition to the good top line point about LLMs, this thread has nuanced insight into research in industry vs academia, and even a wry moment of introspection. 🔥
I am genuinely impressed by large language models - they can absorb disparate components of text into some consolidated view, they can produce extremely good language and - with the right model - translate pretty well between languages and they are an excellent text based UI for humans to use. But..
