I have been mentioning the consumer preparations that we are doing to insulate ourselves as much as we can from unpleasant destabilization surprises (food stock, solar, space heaters), but I want to keep stressing that the MOST important preparation is community-building.

Why the fuck is LA so flammable? I’ve never been there so I truly don’t understand. NYC never caught fire every damn year smh. My heart goes out to the people going through it right now but I still don’t understand why hundreds of people lose their homes in LA every time a fire breaks out.
