Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

It was a month before this year's #TinyBabyTerrapin she started eating. This isn't abnormal. Wild hatchlings often rely on their yolk sac for months before they figure out how to hunt. This girl is finally eating her Wheaties and growing, as evidenced by the peeling skin on her head.

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

Yes, and we need to stop thinking of left and right as a single-line continuum. Racism isn't even a single line. There are lots of real humans who are left on some things but right on others. People in majority white areas contend with racism in very different ways than people in more diverse areas.
I think we need to be careful with conflating "leans Democratic" with "not racist" Maine has a long legacy of racism. So does Oregon which is a blue state. Oregon was literally conceived as a white supremacist fever dream. And the KKK ruled Indiana for a period.

When I was twelve, I spent a day selling 50-50 raffle tickets to support a cancer patient who needed to pay his medical bills. A common question was "doesn't he have health insurance?" He did, but he had reached his lifetime limit the first time he had cancer. This was a recurrence. 1/2

What if (McCarthy + KKK)+DOJ?

I know, you're thinking that's just ICE.

But no, I'm talking about a different stain on American history, one that I learned today I have a personal connection to. Let me introduce you to the American Protective League. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America...

1. Full marks to the interviewer who asked the question directly and let it sit there.
2. MTG is still the same woman who has verbally attacked plenty of opponents and school shooting survivors.
3. But MAYBE she is capable of change? Like, a little change would be great right now.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

Tom's mistake is that he conflates full blown authoritarianism with fascism. As if fascism only occurs when there has been full consolidation of power.

There are 2 major scholarly definitions of fascism both of which tom is ignorant of:

1) Palingenetic ultranationalism (Roger Griffin) /1
My mistake has been trying to explain what "fascism" is to people who don't care what it is.

So I'm going to try something else. Let's do this as a practical thought exercise.

If America *were* fascist *today* - what would you have to do differently in your daily life? /1

I’ve voted 7 times to reopen the government in a way that holds Trump accountable for his lawlessness and prevents a health care crisis.

I’m prepared to work toward a compromise, but this “deal” before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.

Called my Senators and my Rep to thank them for holding the line. Republicans have had fifteen years since the passage of the Affordable Care Act in 2010 to present Americans with an alternative vision for healthcare. They have given us nothing. Their promises are meaningless. We cannot compromise.
