I’ve seen several people say this - “Dems should be friendly with lame duck Trump so they can pick up his voters in 2028” - and it’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. Is that what happened in 2004-2008? 2012-2016? What are you smoking
He won the popular vote, he has the mandate. He is also a lame duck president. He will remain popular among his base no matter what. He is still the most polarizing figure in America and HE IS more popular than he has ever been. Dems do need his voters next time
