At this point, Trump might as well come out and Say “I am the state.” This would end all the back and forth and hand wringing about what Trump is doing and just declare his policies and edicts as National Policy with no need for Congress to weigh in.

A personal post today, on what it means to me to finish a PhD. I talk about my struggles with depression, classism in the university, and why I believe it was all worth it in the end. I really hope you will read it. #medievalsky

I want a coach or player to thank literally any other deity. How come Kirishima Daigongen never gets any credit for sports victories? Japanese warlords prayed for victory to Kirishima but it's not good enough for football coaches?

Quote and tell me, because I’m curious to know: what book that you are currently reading would you recommend?

I’ll start: Adam Smyth’s The Book Makers. Such a lively history of mostly fragmentarily known lives of book people.

A gentle reminder to use ALT text on images, art, and gifs. It can be as easy as "John Watson running fingers through his hair, BBC Sherlock" or "Portrait of Sherlock Holmes"
There's even a toggle in your settings that will remind you to use alt text. (It's helped me a lot.)

PSA for newbies:

Please include ALT text on your images.

Don't arrive late to the party and ignore a bunch of people.

Also, please share this skeet, rather than liking it, to ensure the message gets delivered.

Thanks!
