Avid reader, dog mom, quilter, baker, just clawing my way through mental illness with the help of my therapist, family & friends.
I know my meds keep me sane & my behavior appropriate but I struggle with the side effect of drowsiness. Tipped over a coffee cup onto my jeans when I dozed off & am glad it wasn’t hot. Cookies baked for class this evening, sweeper ran, dishwasher ran, batting and backing cut for a new quilt. Done.

Every day there are new vulgarities that should offend any person who loves Jesus.

This week, he is literally autographing BIBLES and selling them for $1,000 each.

Don’t ever pay $1,000 for a Bible… we’ll send you a free copy & make sure it doesn’t include the founding documents of America.

Those giant cookies you find at bakeries are found in my kitchen today. It’s the cookie version of Gooey Butter Cake & they are stuffed with cream cheese. Only 7 cookies per batch and 6 oz each. 😋

The pattern of "religious" men abusing children is real and documented. It's infuriating that LGBTQ+ people bear the brunt of moral panic rhetoric while the actual harm to children is coming from the very people doing the loudest screaming about "protecting" them. #NotADragQueen

This is Jesse Mack Butler from Oklahoma. Butler r*ped two teen girls over a period of 9 months, nearly killed them by strangulation, which was recorded on video. Butler was convicted of 11 counts of r*pe and sexual assault and was sentenced to 78 years in prison.

But he will serve 0 jail time

Reason for autism now firmly established. 😑
Circumcision “too early” and treated with Tylenol now causes autism.

In other news, brain worms make people extremely stupid and they shouldn’t ever be in charge of anything, especially our health.

“You have in your hands …”
“You have in your hands a very great task, which is to accompany the people who truly and profoundly need a sign that God never abandons anyone,” Pope Leo told Catholics serving US immigrant communities, “not the smallest, not the poorest, not the foreigner, not anyone.”
I continue to be inspired to greater solidarity (intellectual, practical, aesthetic) by this developing story. Pope Leo lifts up Latine Catholics accompanying those who are among the most vulnerable to the violence of this US regime.
