Thanks for the explanation of LLM. We have a decent garden and I use butternut squash instead of pumpkin to make pie & bread, can or freeze it or just roast & eat. I roast it until soft, blend it till smooth then let it drain in cheesecloth until it’s thicker.

And draining it helps with risotto.

Make sure you drain your butternut squash well before using it in a pie. That keeps it from being too runny. And what is LLM? I’m obviously clueless.

Try kabocha. Freaking awesome. So sweet. Took me over an hour in the microwave to cook it though. The skin was so tough I couldn’t cut it up to roast it.

We’ve gotten a total of 1 1/2” since yesterday. Needed it for sure as we’ve had to water the beans, garlic, onions & turnips the past 2-3 weeks. I’ve canned about 20 pints of green beans tho from our fall planting.
