Once again, CCSD Trustee Stevens shows that she doesn’t understand education. She wanted to add someone to the Superintendent list who has no experience in education. That would be a disaster. Too bad, we had a choice to vote for someone who values education.

Health insurance should be illegal. America’s healthcare system is broken by middlemen whose only interest is their bottom line and not patient’s health.

Bluesky is winning because both twitter and threads have gone out of their way to make their platforms inhospitable to reputable journalists and news. @kattenbarge.bsky.social reports:

Journalists flock to Bluesky as X becomes increasingly 'toxic'
Journalists are finding more readers and less hate on Bluesky than on the platform they used to know as Twitter.

If they really need us on their platform maybe they shouldn’t be assholes and do shit like dox us for saying “Black Lives Matter” or for supporting trans rights 🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe their perspective doesn’t deserve to be mainstream but cut off from society in its own echo chamber condemned to irrelevancy
As the left flees and X loses broader relevance, it becomes a more overtly right-wing site, @alibreland.bsky.social writes. But the right needs liberals on X in order to push conservative perspectives into the mainstream.
The Right Has a Bluesky Problem
The X exodus is weakening a way for conservatives to speak to the masses.

I can't tell you how much transphobia rests entirely on trans-misogyny. These people can't every comprehend trans men, it literally breaks their brain like Ben Shapiro in that debate.

Having burly, bearded trans men use the women's restroom in the Capitol would highlight the absurdity of the rule.

My most recent post-election rant
(And 1st shared on this app)

“Unfortunately, Resistance is futile in 2024”

TLDR; Top Democrats are learning all the wrong lessons post-election. Shitting on and ignoring key demographics doesn’t win elections.

A Trump-appointed judge just struck down a Biden rule expanding overtime pay to 4 million working people.

It's really surprising how little media coverage this has received. Trump faced no real questions about this issue during the campaign. 1/

A Trump Judge Just Nixed Overtime Pay for Millions—and Media Yawned
Remember the right-wing frenzy over “Rich Men North of Richmond”? Well, this ruling exposes Trump-MAGA hypocrisy on the working class—and reveals a big media failure.

Republicans are about to be so productive with the slimmest of majorities, and we’ll learn the 60 vote bullshit Dems have been feeding us for 4 years is just that, bullshit. They passed an infrastructure bill, and called it a day. They spent 4 years pandering to donors instead of governing.

Sorry folks, looks like I will not be serving in Trump’s cabinet. I am not qualified to serve the incoming administration because I have never sexually assaulted anyone. I’ll just stick to my current day job.
To review:

ATTORNEY GENERAL: Allegedly paid for sex with multiple women and a 17-year-old girl

SECRETARY OF DEFENSE: Allegedly raped a woman at a conference in 2017

SECRETARY OF HHS: Allegedly sexually assaulted his kids’ baby sitter

Yesterday, the Senate voted overwhelmingly to send weapons to a man who today was served with a warrant from the ICC on war crimes.

Today, the House passed a bill designed to target pro-Palestine groups, which could empower Trump to go after other political foes.

This is fascistic.

US healthcare is funny because there is a doctor next to my house who I’m sure is able to take care of me, but some corporation who insures my healthcare through my employer has decided I can’t go there for no reason. Instead, they prefer I see a doctor across town sometime in April and not now.
