8 Dems thought reopening the govt would save SNAP recipients. In reality Trump’s gonna try to destroy it either way. Dems got duped so hard by the guy who has constantly duped people for decades
President Trump criticized the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during a Fox News interview tonight, saying people "get it automatically now so the number is many times what it should be, it's disgraceful."
Trump says "we can reform" SNAP
"SNAP is supposed to be if you are down and out," Trump said on Fox News this evening.

At least 8 democratic senators care more about the filibuster, a tool which is primarily designed to block mostly progressive legislation, than protecting Americans from skyrocketing healthcare premiums. For shame.

Justice Department struggles as thousands exit — and few are replaced
The Justice Department has lost thousands of experienced attorneys and backfilled a fraction of the open jobs, in part because of a lack of qualified candidates.

It is quite possibly the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen Dems do to bail out Republicans for absolutely nothing in return right after a triumphant election victory, right as Republicans were visibly sweating their precarious situation. The most idiotic and destructive move at a most critical time.

What an idiot. Like seriously, you just gave away all our leverage when the Republicans were sweating bullets. Words cannot describe what a disgrace you are and how much damage you’ve allowed them to inflict upon this country by your stupidity and corruption.
For over a month, I’ve made clear that my priorities are to both reopen government and extend the ACA enhanced premium tax credits.
This is our best path toward accomplishing both of these goals.
This is our best path toward accomplishing both of these goals.
Shaheen: So let me be clear. No one in the senate chamber wants to extend the ACA tax credits more than I do.

Seven Democrats have defected to the Republicans in the Senate, and will vote to end any Democratic filibuster and reopen the federal government.
The agreement has cause a wide-open split in the Democratic caucus in the Senate.

Caving on a deal that doesn’t fix health care is, and always has been, a giant betrayal of the American people.
Hold the line. Save health care. I’m a NO on anything that doesn’t extend ACA subsidies.
