I'll read it with interest ... probably unfair to the vast majority of researchers who are doing their best to understand and cure Alzheimer's disease. A few black sheep mar the constant, relentless efforts of a community that is aware of what is at stake.

On Friday evening, we celebrated the departure of Dolores Siedlecki a post-doc who stayed with the lab for almost 5 years.
For personal reasons, she's moving back to Spain. She was an important member of the team, both scientifically and on a human level. We'll miss her

For the first time, I organized the laboratory's end-of-year party at my home. It's the perfect way to thank my team for all their hard work and celebrate our successes. All that was missing were my Brazilian and Indian postdocs, who had already gone home for well-deserved vacations.

This thursday and Friday was your annual meeting of the EADB Consortium (European Alzheimer & Dementia Biobank) in Cologne, Germany. Great science in genetics/genomics was presented by 25 speakers.

One month ago, we finally moved to a new laboratory that is much better suited to the post-genomic approaches we are now developing, with large light culture rooms. I hope we'll have the perfect conditions for some great research and discoveries!
