I know it's swans because of the swan boats but it's funny to me they picked the most beautiful and vicious bird. A swan would absolutely get a first half red card if it tried to play soccer.

"Loss of community health center sites was associated with an increase in age-adjusted all-cause mortality of 3.54 deaths per 100,000 population in the year following the loss. The largest increase was observed for cancer mortality."

This is quite a story: Georgia made a small business owner the face of their Medicaid work requirements ("Pathways") program.

"But in the nine months since Seaborn’s video testimonial was released... [h]is benefits have been canceled — twice, he said, due to bureaucratic red tape."

Loss of coverage leads to more uncompensated care and lower revenue for providers leads to rural hospital closures leads to loss of jobs and economic development leads to the end of many rural communities. It's not just about health care, it's about the damage caused by the economic ripple effects.
A recession with job losses, combined with Medicaid cuts, combined with an end to enhanced ACA premium aid, would be quite a triple whammy for health coverage.

This Venezuelan mother and father moved to DC three years ago, have TPS (a legal status like DACA), and found work cleaning hotels. Border Patrol came to their home in Southeast DC and arrested them in front of their crying children — ages 4, 9, and 13. None of this is about making any of us safer.
Border patrol grabs Venezuelan parents in D.C., despite protected status
The arrest in D.C. of a Venezuelan couple with temporary protected status has sparked concerns that the Trump administration is again willing to separate parents from their children.
