This is honestly just deeply embarrassing for House leadership. They didn't proactively coordinate an effective response, and instead of doing any reflection on their own role, they're getting mad at the people who at least tried to do something.

Musk should ask the US government to release his immigration files to prove he did not lie on his immigration application, an act that could cause him to be stripped of his citizenship and lose his security clearances.

Be furious be angry but despondency is what they want from us. And be very suspicious of people on the left who say “we are cooked” or whatever. Imagine the civil rights movement, or suffrage, or any movement for change, hitting a roadblock and just “saying well we are well and truly fucked now.”
