Here's another #Pokémon easter egg in #DoctorWho: Series 12 episode "Spyfall". In the cold open, a secret agent on a plane goes into the bathroom and pulls a rolled up secret message from a tube of toothpaste. The toothpaste brand? Pearl & Diamond!

Some writer during the 12th #DoctorWho era was a #Pokémon fan. In the Series 8 episode "Time Heist", the Head of Bank Security is named... Ms. Delphox! Pokémon X&Y was released a year before this episode aired, so it's likely the writer was headlong into raising their fire-type starter at the time.
