“Incognito” priest. Reads more than posts. Northern raised but those are my southern approved cheese grits which are much better looking than my “smiling” face.
This is one of those things where I know that Europe is much further north than I think it is, and I still manage to be surprised every time I really stop and think about it or look at it.

Definitely seems to be a thing known by osmosis for those of us near the Great Lakes. I’m at the end of GenX and always knew of it growing up. Am now curious to hear about more people who hadn’t heard of it before the last couple years and where they grew up

A bit too much today. Did the full liturgy with all the pieces of the Durufle Requiem. Definitely needed to drop a couple of things along the way. Good, but a LOT. ⚓️

We ask people to provide us names of "those who have died in the past 12 months." Most people do that.
Every year the same person is always surprised at the timeframe and says, "I'll just give you all my names and you can decide if you want to include them. I didn't know it was a limit."

Only 1 showed for YG so we cancelled. Not bad bc I have a bad cold. Preached a bold sermon for me/the church and it went well. Brought all the children around the altar for the Eucharistic Prayer, asked them to help pray with me, and said that any of them could a priest if they wanted to. Good day!
