When developers begin destroying wetlands, local folks will blame Northerners for driving up prices and ruining their lands. They will not consider that their own elected officials screwed them.

Matthew W. Huttle, who served time for his role in the Jan. 6 attack and was pardoned by Donald Trump, was shot and killed by a Jasper County sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop in Indiana following an altercation with the officer.
