Because the only thing our reps fear more than losing dark money is losing an election.

ACA has caps & limits on it. ACA requires health insurance corps to insure high risk individuals. ACA has what all corps fear the most: collective bargaining power.

The only way it survives is if enough people call their reps & tell them they will vote them out unless they extend the subsidies

It’s because corps like Amazon, Walmart, McDonalds, etc rely on SNAP to feed their underpaid workers. W/o SNAP, these corps would have to pay them a living wage.

This is the reason those 8 Ds were sacrificed on Sunday.

Corps don’t make money from ACA, so it too was sacrificed.

Nothing will change until dark money is gone from politics. Don’t expect them (Rs & Ds both) to vote against their own pocketbooks & stock portfolios. Like asking a hog to abandon a mud waller.

Nope. Deep down, they loathe themselves so affirmations of inherent goodness melt like cotton candy in their mouths. They must constantly be fed that same lie to quiet the voice in their head that says they’re worthless.

Corps oppose ACA bc it doesn’t help their profit. However, many of the worst corps do support SNAP (Amazon, McDonald’s, Walmart, etc) bc with the help of SNAP, they can pay their workers below living wage, relying on the govt to feed their workers.

This is why Ds caved on SNAP & sacrificed ACA.

Bernie, AOC, et al refuse to take dark money aka corporate money, who use loopholes so they don’t have to disclose where their money originates (hint: corporations & billionaires)

All Rs & many Ds take dark money & therefore cannot be relied upon to vote in the interests of the people. The end.

Trump & the GOP starved the most vulnerable (the poor, elderly, children & disabled), to effectively end the ACA in January of 2026, despite the fact that 88% of Ds & 70% of Rs support it. The only govt healthcare plan Rs will support will enrich themselves & heath insurance companies. The end.

Everyone we elect (republicans & democrats) is already corrupted by billionaire money or soon is after gaining power. This includes the powerful healthcare lobby. Rs & Ds end up doing what the money tells them to do instead of what’s good for the people they were elected to represent. The end.

I don’t know. They ended up not needing his vote, but he was def ready to step in. Maybe he’s just worried abt centrist dem constituents. But my guess is it was about loyalty to the DNC & their money.

Chuck found 8 senators who are either retiring or not up for reelection soon & told them to vote yes. The only explanation is the money told him to do it bc this was a flat out betrayal in direct opposition to the will of all their constituents.

Weakness/Greed. Pick your poison

It’s only compromise if you get something in return. They got nothing. Johnson has already said he won’t bring ACA to a House floor vote.

There’s no other explanation for their actions other than the money told them to do it & they did, in direct opposition to the will of their constituents

That is exactly what happened and exactly why he has to go.

Chuck found another collaborator to take Ossoff’s place. It was widely reported that Ossoff was prepared to vote yes if they needed his vote. Why? He needs that big DNC money if he has a hope in hell of getting re-elected in the mid-terms. He’ll do whatever the money tells him to do.

Trump had no moves left. We had him cornered. He was hemorrhaging support. His only path was to start negotiations on the ACA. And they let him off the hook.

So pick your poison. No SNAP for a few more weeks or no affordable health insurance forever.

The democrats had to have gotten something in return to call it a “deal.” They got nothing. It’s total capitulation.

I truly believe he & many other Ds are trying to break our will to fight. It’s the only explanation for the total capitulation we saw last night.

Our party belongs to their monied-masters. They don’t care about us or the future of this country at all.
