In the 80s, Japan's economy was so ascendant that it was important to teach kids that in Japanese names the family name comes first. Then came the lost decades, and America decided we could flip the order to match how we do it. As a result I now can't tell what a Japanese person's given name is.

For all of human history, the subtle glow of everything in heaven has been a quiet source of constant comfort to the departed souls of the righteous. But for everyone who died after 2023 it makes the lighting subtly wrong in a way that makes the whole of paradise look like AI slop.

YouTube showed me a video of a woman who doesn't exist singing Angel From Montgomery and I feel the "insult to life itself" thing in a way I haven't before.

Computers can be pretty ok sometimes, if a person uses them with intent.
I connected a WiFi enabled solenoid valve to a hose and set up a script on my phone so when the camera detected a squirrel it got blasted with the hose briefly. It was very effective.

I really wish I hadn't seen the poop jet video. I've had a Something Awful forums account for a quarter of a century. I spent a good amount of that posting in the pink forum. I have had some unpleasant things show up on computer screens. The video haunts me in a way tubgirl never did.
