I'm working on making my first real OC and am basing it on götz von berlichingen (the inspiration for Guts in the Berserk franchise) but having him become a vampire late in life and currently living in modern times but with his recorded unhinged personality and I think it's going to be fun. .

I don't talk about my personal experience with mental illness much but it's been hitting hard lately. I've had schizophrenia for about 25 years, and have mostly managed without medication, and when medicated wasn't capable of functioning well enough to take care of myself.
