I’m not going to stop.

But the fact that the world can be changed by those with money and hate, while the rest of us have to follow a completely different set of rules, is not right.

It can’t be right.
And I have to believe a fair world can exist.

I just don’t know how we get there

Important context here:

● over half of farms are less than 49 acres (20 hectares)

● "a big farm" is 217 acres.

Now let's see who's angry:

● Clarkson farm is 1,000 acres
● Lloyd Webber farms 4,000 acres
● Viscount Rothermere (Mail owner) 4,700 acres
● Dyson owns 36,000 acres
A message from a REAL farmer who hasn’t been brainwashed by the Tories, wealthy landowners and the right wing media👇🏽

The volunteers give their time freely, but the supplies and other things needed to preserve and protect the national covid memorial wall are funded purely by donations. We're so grateful to those who give. ♥️ #GivingTuesday

Along with Private Eye and the Yorkshire Post the Tees Valley Monitor has provided some of the best coverage of the controversial Teesside freeport.

This is the Monitor's review of the review of the operation of the Freeport scheme commissioned by Communities Secretary Michael Gove.
Review of the "Tees Valley Review"
Tees Valley Review finds Houchen's leadership of TVCA and STDC has serious shortcomings. However it was set up in a way that precluded investigation of corruption

Tees Valley Monitor welcomes expansion of Bluesky

Time was TVM had a robust and engaged following on X. That audience has now largely evaporated. We find Bluesky the most user-friendly of the alternatives.

TVM remains the main outlet for news and critical comment that the local press avoids

My 5 tests for when an argument expressing "legitimate concerns" does reflect legitimately contested issues about immigration & identity in a liberal democracy - and what crosses the line into illegitimate means, proposals or prejudices.

As someone old enough to remember the explosion of Aids in the 80s and the endless procession of deaths among young, vibrant men, seeing news like this really lifts my heart. We've made HIV something you live with, not die of. Yay medical science!
A bit of good news! Over a million people's lives are now saved by HIV antiretroviral therapy each year ourworldindata.org/data-insight...

Lovely story alert. Shakespeare’s twins are known to be buried in churchyard of Holy Trinity in Stratford, but unknown and unmarked graves. In 2022 Maggie O’Farrell asked the church if they could be acknowledged in some way and now there are two young rowan trees and plaques.

Covid tests and vaccines never should have stopped being free. High quality N95 masks should have been and should still be free. We should have rallied together and built something stronger and better and not let fear and political shills who wanted power and a quick buck divide us.

As with many things that have gone seriously rancid in the UK, the current terrorising of legal offices was ramped up via Brexit - when No10 itself mounted a sustained attack on the judiciary and legal practitioners as “enemies of the state”, “leftie lawyers”, for overturning unlawful prorogation.

I didn’t think I could miss you less, actually, but reading your post - the entitlement, the smugness, the complete lack of any reflection or contrition, the utter contempt for voters - you have actually gone down in my estimation. Which I genuinely had not thought was possible.
