I am what bona fide 'nerds' call 'a nerd.'

FWIW, I repaired a Hero 9 and didn't have to sign into the app. I later tried the app, but it works fine without it. Also, you can use the app as a guest.

I thought maybe Chicago too, and also if moving SC isn't actually the topic.

I made the final leap to Linux 20 years ago. I recommend folks make a list like you did and check it twice: Are there critical tools in your daily workflow that you need to replace? Photoshop? Games?

You can virtualize your current Windows OS install on Linux if it helps your wean yourself.

Notably the color of all the scion material has brightened and looks fuller since coming out of the fridge. In just a couple days, the AC scion here in the cleft graft has plumped up and the color has shifted to be much closer to the root stock. /2

1/22 *might* still be alive, but it's currently packed in mud because it has a blight canker. 🙄 Going to check it in the morning for root rot.

9/22 remained, but didn't leaf out this spring.

22/22 germinated. Quite a few died quickly from root rot. The next round died from the extreme heat we had last summer.
