Chinese chestnut tree with bud grafts and a top cleft graft of American chestnut scion material. My first time grafting anything serious. Hopefully at least 1 will take!
The American Chestnut scion material is from an AC in my forest with cruddy bark from the blight and likely not many years left.

Final pint or so of maple syrup for the year between 68 and 69 brix (a little high).
This year's remaining maple syrup haul. 59-60 brix on the left and 64 brix on the right. Will finish to 66 brix later.
