I'm not making fun of Shaun of his comic, if anything my tack is that we lost something really weird and unique because people were mean to the person who made it, but I have to admit the biggest laughs I get reading the comic are unintentional.

I feel bad for people with size fetishes who can't draw perspective so they just draw isolated figures looking up and down to suggest height differences

the guy breaking into the one building is definitely the highlight but as a fan of pattern recognition run amok there's a lot to enjoy. A youth shelter's dove icon kind of looks like Diamond Dogs! This building has the kanji for heaven on it, obviously an Outer Heaven reference!

Evil playthroughs in Torment are interesting. If you are a good character you are constantly tempted with fun and interesting ways to betray and sabotage your allies, but if you're just an evil asshole to everyone you meet up front you miss out on a lot of actual content related to being evil.

The narrative that people hated Raiden because they couldn't handle something new and different as if we weren't half a decade into fey anime boys with long light hair being a stock video game archetype. 2001 was especially rich with them.

I'm trying to stick to stuff more than a decade old for the main feed and this just made the cutoff point. Watching Redditors give themselves mental illness because they couldn't accept a video game series was over is even funnier now that Kojima has never been more prolific.

Next month I'm guesting on another show to talk about Boston and Shaun from the perspective of someone who was both a bad webcomics guy and a weird furry. It is always nice when you see these people are still making art and having fun twenty years later.
