Our democracy is being dismantled by design, and the architects are platforms like Meta and X. Their algorithms prioritize outrage and division, spreading misinformation like wildfire and deepening societal polarization for profit.
So they're trying to tank the housing market now... This will not end the way they think it will.

A reminder that the Epstein files aren't a distraction from the oligarchy. They're an integral part of it.
A reminder: The perpetrators in the Epstein files are Oligarchs, and so are the ones protecting them.

You know who doesn't whine, bitch, and threaten members of his party about the Epstein files?

Someone who didn't actually rape little girls.

Not sure what this list is, but the name Sulzberger (spelled “Suzlberger”) jumped out at me, among others.

A. G. Sulzberger is the publisher of the New York Times and chair of its parent company.

Exactly right, young women are in their 20’s. these were girls, barely past puberty
Quick point of clarification for pundits, politicians, journalists, & any others commenting on the Epstein Trump files:
The victims were NOT "young women". They were CHILDREN.
As such, they were not capable of giving legal consent. Sex without consent is rape.
Words matter. Get them right.

the biggest lesson from the emails today is that powerful people are so unafraid of consequences for crimes as bad as “raping children” that they will just talk about it openly in emails

the only path to a better society is one where that is no longer true

More Senate Democrats folded to let Trump gut our healthcare than House Republicans folded to release the Epstein files.

This is example of why we can't have nice things.

He can stay. For now.
It is very notable that several Dems are putting out strong statements that effectively backhand members of their caucus
I’ve voted 7 times to reopen the government in a way that holds Trump accountable for his lawlessness and prevents a health care crisis.

I’m prepared to work toward a compromise, but this “deal” before us does not come close to meeting those terms. Voting NO.

Full statement:

Dems are their enablers.
The #GOP is an immoral, criminal enterprise.

No more words. We want action. Shut your pie hole and fight.
Schumer: "However this vote turns out, this fight will and must continue. Democrats must fight."

The Dems who are caving are doing so not because their base wants them to,

not because the voters want them to,

not because the fed workers and SNAP recipients want them to…

they are caving because their DONORS want them to.

And that’s really all that ever matters to the corrupt

It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

Anyone that caves needs to be primaried.
We'll see, but the degree of immediate blowback, and how many other Dems immediately jumped onboard trashing it loudly, makes me think this might end up a failed attempt to cave. Overestimated their ability to hold enough Dem votes.

Thing about being spineless is you can be pushed either way.

I'll take "Things a billionaire would say" for 2,000, Ken
Firstly, billionaires are not physically made of stocks, if a billionaire falls down a hole and expires his stock portfolio persists and continues to have value, secondarily, this is why one diversifies one's investment portfolio outside of the stock market, thirdly, okay, let's test this hypothesis
