Planned a Jonathan Taylor column for #INDvsPIT week...
Until the Colts nominated Luke Rhodes for NFL's Salute to Service award. His inspiration? A Marine pilot in the Gulf War – his dad. His *late* dad. From near Altoona.
New plan: Talk to Luke Rhodes.

Doyel: Late father inspires Luke Rhodes, Colts' nominee for NFL's Salute to Service Award
Colts long snapper Luke Rhodes' dad was a US Marine helicopter pilot. Rhodes wishes his dad were here to see him be an NFL Salute to Service nominee.

@joelaerickson.bsky.social I see your message on that other platform. AI says Buckner got an INT last season

@zachhicks2.bsky.social Since we all know that you get to make the rules, you should push for "Blew up the play" as an official stat for defensive players. Sadly, those players often get zero stat credits for those great plays

@joelaerickson.bsky.social Last season, we're feeling bad right now. This season, we're excited right now. Big difference just 1.9 games into the season!

I spent a good chunk of today coding with chat-gpt 5 on Windsurf. Specifically, I was having it help me generate and build some Neo4jb models, as well as ETL processes to load the data. I spent a total of about 2 hours and I'm close to having loadable data for the year data I'm working with.

I feel like everyone eventually has their moment when Musk says something ridiculous that is squarely within their own area of expertise and this is mine.

I hate the way musk thinks he’s a techie. Expert in computers and all this nonsense. He thinks a system in place for decades is missing a checkbox and he’s made some amazing discovery. Embarrassing.
One of Musk's defining qualities is that he is a conspiracy theorist when it comes to government. He will see some ambiguous information or be presented with an easily debunked tale and he immediately believes the worst.

Hello non-technical people. Just a heads up. Musk isn’t a programmer, a systems architect, or anyone with experience building or running large systems of any kind. However, he’s taken credit for others binding large systems which makes him think he’s That Guy. He is not.

Costco, which has come out saying it supports DEI, will make no changes to its existing programs, AND pays workers a minimum of $30/hour, is up 15% YTD.
Target, which announced it is ending all DEI programs and has a minimum wage of $15-$24/hour, is down over 4%.

So much for getting that RTX 5090. Or buying a new car (I'm not paying 25% more). Or even refinancing my house (because of the idiotic inflation this will cause).
I can survive without the 5090, but the other two are pretty important for us. :-(

So I'm looking for a snow blower. I've decided on getting a 2-stage battery powered snow blower. Ryobi 40v and Greenworks 80v (I'm already in both battery ecosystems), but I cannot find any comparison reviews between the two.
