Brewer. Red River Métis. He / him. Currently battling one of life’s least dangerous cancers, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
I feel like I’ve witnessed a uniquely Toronto mating ritual.

Prairie kid in me still needs a Pil every time I hang with my family in Regina. Otherwise, I have the means of production.

And in this case it’s easy to use non-engineered yeasts and make Omega a fucking pariah. Jebus. Anyways, here’s a bird pic.

I let my kid balance the colours in this photo of the brewery. She called it “industrial Wes Anderson.”

It’s unbelievably cool, and I will continue reading your books so you can spend more time in Paris.

David Frum is a genocide-denying shitstain, and I wish media would stop platforming him. Holy fuck he’s awful.

Went to Biidiisage Park this morning. The views did not disappoint. Love how this is just outside of downtown Toronto.

I’m going to a beer conference next week. Disappointed that the AI in Marketing session has a poll that doesn’t include, “No. My beers are works of human toil and art. Why the fuck would I debase my life’s work with slop?”

Here’s a cat passing judgement on humanity. She thinks we’re mostly OK, but should probably keep our distance and not disturb her while she’s on her throne.

“Not awful, a little boring” sums up me, as well!

Sure, they’re urban menaces. But they’re also kinda cute?

15 years brewing, and I just realized that the lager I brewed a few weeks ago is the first time I’ve brewed a commercial lager using my my own recipe. Frazzled brewer coming in with deep thoughts about brewing.

I haven’t been reading much because things went a little pear-shaped around here, but I’m looking forward to this one from @premeemohamed.com

We had apple pie and homemade ice cream! Plus tamales! It was very good.

Oh god I just took the perfect photo of my kid assaulting a seitan roast with a 15” chefs knife Psycho-style and ya’ll are just going to have to believe me when I say it’s the best. Anyway, here’s her cat instead.

Hahaha OMG the Ontario Craft Brewers are having a session on using AI to supercharge a brewery’s social media. How the fuck can we sell a handcrafted, artisanal product using goddamn slop?
October 9, 2025 at 11:05 PM
I did an interview about Indigenous folks in brewing today. I hope I came off better than my usual goofy self because it’s an important topic. And I took some pics of the tasting room buildout. I really hope I get to do some collabs and / or have a beer with ya’ll soon.
