For some reason this reminded me of this post by @dril.bsky.social from back in the day.

There's a story doing the rounds on SM about Sweden apparently switching to an edible rock salt formula it uses for gritting roads, as this is less harmful for birds. It comes with a pretty picture too obvs. But I think it's just made up?

Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admit defeat.

This popped up on my insta feed and I have to say, the algorithm has me well and truly sussed, fair play. #Wednesday #sttng #ds9

Lol it's worse because if it was in the FT, they don't only have to explain the joke, first they have to explain what football is!

Why is Sesko on the bench? And why is Maguire starting?

Kind of ironic that while Americans are protesting under the 'No Kings' slogan against their president who blatantly doesn't care about the constitution, over here in the UK we can't properly ditch the Duke of York because the actual King, Charles III, constitutionally has to go through parliament.

Loren Rosko (www.instagram.com/lorenrosko) has created a fun little song that the girl from Sk8er Boi might have sung! 😅

Isn't it 'towing the party line' rather than 'toeing the party line'?

All the comments on YT on the Newcastle v Barca highlights are pretty much "I'm a Newcastle/United fan but it's good to see Rashford doing well again".

Also, this extract from #bbcfootball made me laugh. Well done Amorim and Berrada etc for pushing Rashford out! Genius move.

The worst part is that I actually think this is the best we've played this season?

Cool thread! I'm so glad there's finally government action to tackle touts - I'm sure your reporting has helped bring this about 👍

This has also just reminded me of my favourite post about touts.

Sometimes the algorithm works.

This popped up on my IG feed (courtesy of Moo Smith www.instagram.com/itsmoosmith?...) and if it's not proof that 2007 was the best year for music then I don't know what is frankly.

Mainly for Avril, Paramore, and FOB, but still.

I need a time machine.

Lol they even sort it so they can get Guehi for free at the end of the season.

Amorim needs a result so obviously he's not starting Sesko. The man does not help himself does he?

I was a bit taken aback by the price (£21 - have exhibitions gotten more expensive recently?), but the Jenny Saville exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery is really excellent.

Went and saw Oasis on Saturday at Wembley. Had a fun time despite being slightly anxious!

I still think quite strongly they should've played for longer, given Taylor Swift and Springsteen etc have been doing 3hr gigs (Oasis did 2hrs), and given how much people paid, and the hype.

Last night in the pub a woman came in with her pet albino hedgehog called Whisper which she apparently carried around with her under her top

I saw this post 10 years ago on Facebook and it's stayed with me ever since. @ngapham.bsky.social did a piece on her for BBC News at the time, as part of the then 'migrant crisis' in relation to Syrian refugees: www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-a...
