Having trouble believing that America in 2025 is actual reality. Politically moderate/lean progressive. Married dog owner living in Western North Carolina. I love psychology, poly sci, philosophy, sociology, ethics, etc. Investor, volunteer, woodworker.
He is making this country the joke--and the monster--of the whole world. I sometimes can't believe it is like this. I get all King Theoden when he said "How did it come to this?"

I'm STILL heartened by the No Kings protest in my smallish town! #resist #northcarolina #love #patriotism #nokings

This is the beagle/chihuaua mix we've had for about 9 years. Really cute guy, lots of charisma. Pretty schizy on walks in regard to fear, but I guess some things will never change...

From #davidpakman today:
It's truly outrageous and I am wondering where these spineless money-grubbing capitalists are--they should be howling that Trump is fucking the economy up!!

This is having its 20 year anniversary. Watching it for the 2nd time. It is very good, at least for history buffs who like drama. It's engaging and instructive--for those who can handle the fact that the Romans speak in English accents :)

I am reading McCullough's *John Adams*. I was amazed that around the time of the Constitutional Convention, the Adamses returned from a long period abroad and instantly noted how Americans seemed more superficial, more drawn to money; less patriotic and less serious. Plus slaves and shit. Woe is us.

Happy Sunday. Well, not exactly. But there is hope that the forces of evil are currently on their heels. And there are other things to think about, do, and care about besides authoritarianism, Orwellianism, and graft.

A little something I photo'd.

This little guy has been with us 10 years. He's a joy--except when he is prowling around the kitchen for handouts, or on a walk--he wayyy overreacts to dogs and people. He's basically a self-assured drama queen on walks. And yes, he's male. But overall a great companion.

If this makes Asheville look cold, it's because it is! We def. get all four seasons big-time.

That’s great! We have a dog who is 80% beagle, 20% chihuahua, 100% cute and 30% crazy.

Well here it is, my first post! Hannah would be so proud if she could understand what that means!
