I love this! Such an amazing source of protein, and throwing in different ways to enjoy peanut butter with different fruits is an amazing example of how good healthy eating can be1 Taste does NOT have to be sacrificed for nutrition! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

As a pharmacist I will use my knowledge of nutrition to motivate patients to make lifestyle changes before recommending medications. GLP-1s are becoming common as a weight management drug, and nutritional changes get healthier results. Natural is always a healthy place to start! @beh353.bsky.social

This post is not only relevant for the holiday this week, but it provides a great resource for health side disk recipes to try for thanksgiving...definitely paying some special attention to the spinach artichoke dip! @beh353.bsky.social

One of my favorite foods at thanksgiving is cranberry sauce. It makes a perfect complement with the turkey, and cranberries have amazing health benefits (Vitamin C for immunity, antioxidant for heart health, etc). It's definitely a great source of natural vitamins! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This is a super cool article that again calls attention to the fact that many health fixes can be found in the foods we eat, emphasizing the importance of good and balanced nutrition! COPD is one of the most common resp. diseases in the US, looking into this would benefit many! @beh353.bsky.social

I found this article from the CDC that did a great job at breaking down the dietary needs for growing children. Included in the article are explainations, tables, images, and instructions that are very easy to follow...definitely a great source! @beh353.bsky.social

This is super influential in times like today where those who are impacted by the SNAP shutdown are loosing access to healthy food. It's important to find affordability any way possible, and it's even more important to keep a healthy diet. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

After reading Toms story, I was surprised at the title indicating that Chick-fil-A was able to provide a healthy enough meal to enforce weight loss. I also think an important aspect of this story is the want to see change, but being discouraged by the amount of work it takes. @beh353.bsky.social

This is super interesting; even more relevant now as diet sodas have come into play more often over the last couple of years with all the artificial sweeteners likely having an impact on overall health as well. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I learned advertising is influential from our lectures on obesity. Many high fat and added sugar foods are marketed towards kids, which is one of the environmental factors that can influence obesity. I want to take note of this and try not to be as influenced by these tactics.@beh353.bsky.social

This is another super cool post to loom at. It's a great example to show that medication and OTC supplements aren't the only answer to certain health concerns and wants; you can look at changes to your diet to help as well! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I think I experience a lack of time to plan, shop, and prepare healthy foods. I work 20 hours a week and am in rigorous schooling, so having time to shop and prepare healthy food is hard to find. The biggest struggle is the time constraint other life factors have on time. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Super relevant being a student! Managing stress correctly and healthy is crucial in wellbeing, especially in a school environment where assignments, exams, etc. cause a lot of stress as it is. Looking into these options to lower cortisol might be super helpful! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This is the label of the multivitamin that I take, the Olly Men's Multi. Despite there not being much evidence to support their effectiveness, I feel like I have noticed a difference in my immune health and energy. Very interesting to see the diversity of ingredients. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I looked into the carnivore diet this week...I see a lot of it on my social media feed and people promote it for it's high protein content. Looking deeper I found that it poses a serious risk of heightened cholesterol, definitely something that needs more research. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

This year I've been cooking more meals at home. I make a lot of pasta and meat sauce meals, and I can make this dish more nutrient dense by using whole grain pasta and turkey meat rather than ground beef. Having a side of whole grain bread also wouldn't hurt! @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I tracked my food intake for 24 hours and actually found it difficult to recall every detail of what I ate in a day. I noticed that yesterday I ate a lot of proteins, but also had a lot of unhealthy snacks. I think I stayed accurate in my record keeping, it was odd to do. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

In todays media, there is a lot of attention around protein intake, which can actually be a super healthy push in the right direction!
