I’m just a normal Tweeter. An innocent Tweeter.

Is this the place?
Great result at the charity shop. I got a copy of Two Worlds, by David Daiches. It’s the story of a Jewish family in Edinburgh in the 1920s and 30s. His father was Rabbi in the synagogue at Graham Street - which was renamed Keir St some time later.

34 years ago today Linus Torvalds announced Freax to the world (well comp.os.minix). The name was later changed to Linux.

Next year is the year of Linux on the desktop.

Apple Intelligence isn’t great for a lot of things, but at least it allows me to cleanup things from Photos…

Since when do tools in the Photos app need to be downloaded?

(Also, I’m on very fast wifi)

We won the league at Anfield,
We won it at the lane,
Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford,
No one can say the same.
Mikel Arteta’s army,
We’re Arsenal through and through,
We’ll sing it in the North Bank,
And in the Clock End too.
Allez Allez, Allez.

Even Alan Sugar knows. #Arsenal

Arsenal have not scored in 93 consecutive corners. How did we ever get the tag Set Piece FC? Also, Nicolas Jover is living on past glories. 😬

This doesn’t come across as creepy at all.

5 of the greatest assets modern Arsenal ever had. But look in the background. You can see Martin Keown telling a story, and the crowd around him is bigger than these guys are getting. 😂

❤️ Arsenal ❤️

I was in London recently and visited Beigel Bake on Brick Lane. There’s 2 bagel shops beside each other. The newer one is only 50 years old! They, and the shop next door, are open 24 hours a day, and it was fantastic. Of course my photo skills don’t do it justice. Salt beef, a pickle mustard.

I think I found 12 in total. This map shows where they all used to be.

The War Department stones marking the “border” of the castle. They’re in Princes Gardens, King Stables Road, The Grass Market.

@amylawrence.bsky.social After 20 matches last year we were in 4th position and Liverpool were 5 points ahead of us. We can do it!!

After 20 matches in the 2023/24 season Arsenal were in 4th place in the league, 5 points behind Liverpool.

This year we’re 2nd, 6 points behind Liverpool. There’s a lot of ball still to play.

Scotrail - Scotland’s Railway is owned and operated by the Scottish Government.

On English bank holidays there is a discount for people travelling at peak times, but not on Scottish bank holidays. 🤷‍♂️

In Glasgow they wanted to celebrate the Fab 4 with a street named after each of them. But as with all things Beatles related, McCartney wanted to assert his dominance over it.
